Fourth child of Daniel Shawhan and Jennett — sibling of Daniel Shawhan (Gen 3, direct line), not himself part of the traced direct line to Spencer. Revolutionary War veteran; led his branch of the family from Washington Co., Pennsylvania to Warren County, Ohio in the 1790s, founding what the 1983 Shawhan source calls the "Warren County, Ohio Shawhans."
